History
The team was founded in 1935 by DSO Spartak. During existence of the team, it’s name has changed twice: 1935-1977 — Spartak (Leningrad); 1978-2003 — TTU; since 2003 — Leningradka (Saint Petersburg).
In 1939 Spartak debuted in USSR championship. In Soviet Union championship the team was in 43 seasons. The team takes part in Russian championship since 1992.

- Silver medalist in the USSR Championships (1948, 1950, 1961, 1980);
- Bronze medalist in the USSR Championships (1945, 1946, 1949, 1951, 1954, 1955, 1957);
- Winner of the USSR Cup (1976, 1977);
- Bronze medalist in the Russia Championships (2024);
- Finalist in the Russian Cup (2001, 2004 — bronze medalist, 2008, 2023);
- Bronze medalist in the Challenge Cup (2009);
- Winner of the Cup of the Kaliningrad region’s governor (2023);
- Silver medalist of the Centenary Cup (2023).
Volleyball players of the club took part in the biggest world competitions as members of national team — Olympic Games, World and Europe championships. The team had such players as: Europe champions (1949) Anna Afanasieva (Smirnova) and Taisia Baryshnikova; triple Europe champion (1949-1951) Valentina Kvasheninnikova; World champion (1952), double Europe champion (1950, 1951) Maria Toporkova; World champion (1956) Kira Gorbacheva (Shmantsyr); double World (1956, 1960) and Europe (1958, 1963) champion Alisa Krashennikova (Galahova); double Olympic champion (1968, 1972), World champion (1970) and double Europe champion (1967, 1971) Galina Leontiyeva (Elnitskaia); Olympic champions (1972), Europe champions Ludmila Borozna (Zigiliy) and Tatiana Gonobobleva (Semenova); Europe champions (1977) Nadezda Gorlovskaia (Davydenko) and Tatiana Karaseva (Sorokina, Talina).
The women’s national team won silver medals at the 2004 Athens Games. Olga Nikolaeva, the player of Leningradka team, took part in national team.
The women national team took bronze in 2005 and 2007 at European championship. There was Natalia Alimova, the player of Leningradka, in this national team.
In the 2005/2006 season the team won first place in the Major League A and returned itself a place in the Super League.
In the 2006/2007 season Leningradka won 7-th place in Russian Championship.
In the 2007/2008 season Leningradka won 5-th place in Russian Championship and conquered the right to participate in the CEV Cup. 3 players of the team (N.Alimova, E.Kabeshova, J.Andrushko) are included in Russian national team.
In 2008 women national team won the permit for Olympic Games in Beijing at qualifying tournament. The national team’s players include members of Leningradka team Natalia Alimova and Yekaterina Kabeshova.
In the 2009 Leningradka won 3-rd place in the Challenge Cup.
In the 2011 Leningradka won 3-rd place in the tournament of reserve teams of Russian Super League.
Till 2011 farm-club for the team of senior players Leningradka-2 took part in the Major League B. In 2011 the farm-club status had the team of St.Petersburg Ekran, which the same year won silver medals in the Major League B and a place in the Major League A.
2023/2024 season was one of the most successfully in the modern history of our club. Leningradka became Winner of the Cup of the Kaliningrad region’s governor, won silver medals of the Russian Cup and the Centenary Cup. And for the first time in history Leningradka won bronze medals of the Russian Championships.
One of the current tasks of the team of coaches is the preparation of a reserve team to back up the main team and give playing practice to the sportswomen. The team’s management is continually searching for and selecting talented players from around the country.
